Delores M. Henoch, age 89, of La Porte, passed away on July 16, 2014 at La Porte Miller's Health and Rehab.
She was born in La Porte, IN, on April 29, 1925 to Ernest Nelson and Laura Elsie (Eisenminger) Vermilyer.
On March 18, 1944, she married Richard Leonard Henoch who preceded her in death. Surviving are her beloved son, James Henoch of La Porte; granddaughter, Lori (Jerry) Hamlin of La Porte; sister, Phyllis Miller of La Porte; brother, Eugene (Anna) Vermilyer of Fish Lake; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Smith of Irvine, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Paul R. Henoch; and her granddaughter, Lisa Marie Henoch.
Delores was a member of the St. Ann's Guild, Town and Country Extension Club, and the Swanson Senior Center. She enjoyed her family, knitting, and baking.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, July 21, 2014 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Father Thomas Kincaid officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 3-6 PM on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 9 AM until the time of the service on Monday at the church. Burial will take place following the service at Pine Lake Cemetery.
