Dennis Dean Houck

Dennis Dean Houck, 74, of La Porte, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, May 21, 2018 at his home.

Dennis was born in North Judson, IN, on January 6, 1944 to George and Dorothy (Stahlberg) Houck.

On November 16, 1979 in La Porte, he married Marilyn Cianfrani who survives in La Porte. Also surviving are his beloved children, Brad (Wandee) Houck of Gulf Port, MS, and Adam K. (Allison) Houck of Bowling Green, KY; stepchildren, Pam Karnavas of La Porte, Lisa (Paul) Barclay of Fishers, IN, Doug Russell, South Bend, IN, and Toni (Rich) Russell-Andrews of La Porte; brothers, Rick Murray of the west coast and Robert (Joan) Houck of Michigan City; and 9 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dean Houck; and brother, Edward Houck.

Dennis worked as a manager at Al's grocery store in La Porte for many years. He enjoyed scuba diving, snow and water skiing, camping, gardening and growing vegetables, traveling, but most of all he loved his children and grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM (CT) on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A time of gathering will take place following the service until 5 PM (CT) on Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Kingdom Hall, 1205 E. Jefferson Ave., La Porte, IN 46350 or the charity of the donor's choice.
