Dennis Wayne Metcalf

Dennis Wayne Metcalf, 80, of Walkerton, IN, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Dennis was born on December 16, 1944, in La Porte, IN, to Kenneth and Catherine (Schrader) Metcalf.

On February 16, 1964, in La Porte, he married Brenda L. Barger, who preceded him in death on October 31, 2016. Later, on May 8, 2022, in La Porte, he married Jackie L. Blaze, who survives. Also surviving Dennis are his daughter, Helen M. Metcalf; 2 grandchildren, Bryan (Meagan) McDonald and Nicholas McDonald; 5 great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Grace, Amelia, Iris, and Charlotte; 3 stepsons; 1 stepdaughter; 14 stepgrandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenny (Kay) Metcalf, Gerald Metcalf, Terry Metcalf, and Lawrence (Phyllis) Metcalf, sister, Marlene Bedell; sisters-in-law, Annie Metcalf, Liz Seller, Mary (Jeff) Gifford, and Carol Barger; brothers-in-law, James Pearish and Sam Seller; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; son, Dennis W. Metcalf; sister, Sharon, and brothers, Virgil and Bernie.

Dennis worked in the receiving dept. at New York Blower for 29 years. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed bowling, woodworking, building models and attending car shows.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Sam Seller officiating.

A time of visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
