DeWayne Lee Wills

DeWayne Lee Wills, 51, of La Porte, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at his home.

DeWayne was born in La Porte, IN, on May 3, 1966 to Jerry Ray and Betty Marie (Cooley) Shepherd.

Surviving are his beloved children, Christina Wills of Kansas City, MO, and Brandon Wills of La Porte; mother, Betty Shepherd of Kingsford Heights; siblings, LaDonna Hammonds of Kingsford Heights, Connie Obadencio of Kingsford Heights, Robin Brewer of Kingsford Heights, and John Shepherd of Kingsford Heights; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and Wesley Starkey and other Starkey brothers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Shepherd; grandparents, Albert and Icie Shepherd, Ruby and Oliver Cookey; Aunt and Uncle, Lena and Joe Doyle; and nephew, Joshua Hammonds.

DeWayne enjoyed crafts, hunting, fishing, gardening, and landscaping.  He especially loved Savannah his dog of 18 years.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM (CST) on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

A time of visitation will be held from 12 PM (CST) on Monday until the time of the service at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family c/o Robin Brewer, 2900 Monroe St., La Porte, IN  46350.
