Diane Fay Wireman, 66 years old of La Porte, passed away Wednesday evening Nov. 17, 2010 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 6, 1944 in La Porte to Russell Charles and Edith Marie (Goetz) Martin.
She retired from Howmet Corporation after 22 years.
She was married on August 3, 1985 in Rensselaer, Indiana to Ballard J. Wireman who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Kim Butts of North Liberty, IN; son, Daniel Shoffner of Kingsford Heights, IN; 5 grandchildren, Amber and Angel Shoffner, Bryce Peterson, Braylie Bannwart and Brooke Butts; 2 great grandchildren, Jacob Hoggatt and Jayden Shoffner; sister, Shirley Webster of Summerset, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Charles and Lawrence Vanarkle.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Parents and Friends, Caregivers, and Compassion International. She was a lover of animals and loved to dance.
Friends will be received for visitation at the Cutler Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-7:00 PM, and on Monday from 9-10 AM.
Services will be held at 10 AM Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Cutler Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Thompson and Curtis Southwood officiating.
Interment will follow in the Pine Lake Cemetery.
