Diana M. (Surowiec) Yerbey, 64, of La Porte, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Franciscan Hospice, Michigan City, IN.
Diana was born in La Porte, IN, on April 26, 1952 to John A. Surowiec and Virginia V. (Wegenka) Noel.
Surviving are her sister, Janet A. Surowiec of La Porte; brothers, Gary L. (Janet) Surowiec of La Porte and Rodney A. Surowiec of La Porte; niece, Rachel (Dakota Smith) Surowiec of Ypsilanti, MI; nephew, Derek (Dana) Surowiec of La Porte; special caregiver and cousin, Dale Butcher; and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Grant P. Yerbey.
Diana worked as a manager of her family's bar for several years. She also worked at Michiana Resources until her retirement.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held privately at a later time.
