Donald Bom, 81 years old of La Porte, IN, died Monday, March 28, 2011 in LaPorte Hospital .
He was born Thursday, February 20, 1930 in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of the late Arthur Bom and the late Lillian (Droginske) Bom.
Donald was married on June 12, 1954 in Steubenville, Ohio to Janet Bom who preceded him in death on April 20, 2006.
Don attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He started work as an accounting clerk with United Parcel Service, ending his career as Regional Controller for the Eastern Seaboard. He was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge No. 0045 of Steubenville, OH. He also served in the US Army in Korea.
He is survived by his daughter: Kathleen (Alan) Lang, 2 grandchildren: Andrew and Kristen Lang, and a brother-in-law: Ian Craig.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service held at 4:30PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at The LaPorte Presbyterian Chruch with Rev. Sally Wicks officiating. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 2:30 PM until the time of service.
Interment has taken place in the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
