Donald John Henry, 86, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008 at 4:15 P.M. in LaPorte, IN. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery with Full Military Rites. Cutler Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Donald was born September 4, 1921 in Washington, D.C. to the late Thomas Clark & Lisa (Wright) Henry.
Donald was married for 40 years to Charlotte Mae Warstler who preceded him in death on February 25, 1972.
Survivors include 2 Daughters: Kathryn Henry of Oak Park, IL., Lisa (Victor) Wong of Seattle, WA; 5 Grandchildren: Jennifer Thames Hall, David Wong, Benjamin Wong, Greg Wong, Alan Wong; 5 Great Grandchildren: Nicholas & Robin Hall; Myhanh, Mai Linh and Tai Wong.
Donald worked as a Pharmacist. He was a member of the LaPorte Little Theatre Club where he preformed in many plays. He was also a member of the American Legion and Jaycees. Donald was a United States Army Veteran of WWII, where he received 6 Bronze Stars, serving from 1942-1945.
