Donald was the son of the late Edward Leroy & Mary (Tappan) Davis.
He was married on February 26, 1944 at St. Peters Catholic Church in LaPorte to Harriet M. Darschewski who preceded him in death on March 15, 1995. They were married for 51 years.
Donald retired as an assembler at Allis Chalmers. He worked there for over 40 years.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA)
He was an avid hunter when he was younger and he loved to watch softball games.
