Donald E. Menke, 65, LaPorte, died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday (March 29, 2003) at LaPorte Hospital.
A private family service is planned, with burial in Door Village Cemetery. Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Menke was born Aug. 3, 1937, in Pinola, Ind., to William E. and Mary M. (Liscomb) Menke. On Oct. 8, 1955, in Michigan City, he married Delores M. Daugherty, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Danny Menke, LaPorte, and David (Christina) Menke, LaPorte; one brother, William A. Menke, LaPorte; and two sisters, Hilda Ohime, LaPorte, and Helen (Boyd) Haugen, Laramor, N.D.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Frieda Timm.
Mr. Menke retired as a welder from New York Blower, LaPorte, on Dec. 23, 1992.
