Donald Lloyd Metheny Sr., 67, New Carlisle, died of natural causes at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday (April 28, 2004) at LaPorte Hospital.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Carl Bush officiating. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born Feb. 4, 1937, in LaPorte to Harold H. and Cora (Claypool) Metheny. On April 30, 1960, in LaPorte, he married Mary Louise Stevens, who survives.
Survivors also include one daughter, Stephanie Price, Bremen, Ind.; two sons, Donald L. Metheny Jr. and Ronnie H. Metheny, both of LaPorte; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Metheny had worked at Clark Equipment in Michigan City and New York Blowers in LaPorte. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Metheny volunteered at the Chicago Trail Village.
