Donald Wireman, 69, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at La Porte Hospital and Health Services.
Donald was born in Rensselaer, IN, on June 15, 1948 to Cleveland and Flora (Conley) Wireman.
On July 12, 1977 in Watseka, IL, he married Mary Wireman who survives. Also surviving are his beloved daughters, Yvette Garcia of TX, Tracy Sherlin of TN, Donna Sue (Tom) Burkhart, Donald Cleveland (Marie) Wireman and Delmer Dennis (Ai) Wireman, all of La Porte; 7 grandchildren, Alicia Wireman, Damon Burkhart, Zayne Joiner, Adrianna Burkhart, Eric, Cleveland and Cameron Wireman, all of La Porte, Ciara Garcia and Gilbert Arismendez of Texas, Stacey Sherlin and Dustin Sherlin of Tennessee; siblings, Marilyn Dobson of North Judson, Kelly Wireman of KY, Curt (Judy) Wireman of North Judson, Dennis (Shirley) Wireman of Medaryville, George (Merlene) Wireman of CA, Gordon (Cricket) Wireman of FL, Lucky (Erlene) Wireman of Wheatfield, Marlene (Mike) Stafford of AR, and Myrtle Vermeer of AZ; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Cleveland Wireman , Jr., and daughter, Dawn Michelle Wireman.
Donald served in the US Army. He was a truck driver for 15 years. Donald enjoyed playing music, Notre Dame football and especially spending time with his family.
A memorial gathering will be held from 2 - 4 PM (CST) on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Cremation will take place at a later date.
