Donna M. Eiler, 92, of La Porte, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Fountainview Terrace.

Donna was born on November 27, 1924 in Mill Creek, IN, to Dorsey and Elsie (Miller) Keller.

On May 27, 1946 in La Porte, IN, she married Charles "Chuck" John Eiler who preceded her in death on October 9, 1987. Also surviving are her beloved children, Dianna Jean Price of La Porte and Charles John Eiler, II of Florence, SC; 8 grandchildren, Ryan (Kelli) Price, Jeff (Shay) Eiler, Jr., Michael Eiler, Matthew (Sue) Price, Jamie Magner, Tim Eiler, Nick (Tia) Eiler, and Becky (John) Klawiowski; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great, great-grandchild; daughters-in-law, Betty Eiler of La Porte and Alyn-Soo Eiler of Bloomington; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; husband; 6 children, Rex Eiler, James "Jim" Eiler, Jerald "Jerry" Eiler, Jeff Eiler, Sr., Jay Lynn Eiler, and Janet Marie Eiler; and two grandchildren, Charles John Eiler, III and Thomas Hajostek.

Donna and her husband owned and operated Chuck and Donna's West End Confectionary in La Porte for 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, attending church, doing word search puzzles and watching birds, especially cardinals. Donna absolutely thrived around people - whether she was working, homemaking, hosting parties, or spending time with her loving friends and family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Jack Balon officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Hospital, 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
