Doris Kroening, 66, of Germany and formerly of Fish Lake, IN, passed away on Tuesday, December, 19, 2006 in Wuppertal, Germany.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Ohime officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery prior to the service.
Doris was born October 27, 1940, in Wuppertal, East Germany to the late Emil & Ida Laura Else Heinen. On January 28, 1984, she married Robert W. Kroening, who preceded her in death April 24, 2005.
Survivors include son Michael Gromnitza of Germany; daughter Uta Gromnitza of Germany; 2 grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; stepson Robert W. Kroening, Jr. of Hebron, IL; stepdaughters Ann Shirley of Kissimmee, FL, Bonnie (Norman) Tracy and Teresa (Phillip) Tanksley, both of Fish Lake, and Margie (Art) Schweitzer of Thornton, IL.
A sister, Chris Papp and brothers Willie & Diedre Hienen preceded her in death.
Doris had worked at E.V. Controls in LaPorte.
