Dorothy Louise Finstick

Dorothy Louise Finstick, 92, of Michigan City, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Hamilton Communities.

Dorothy was born in La Porte, IN, on March 28, 1925 to Claude Raymond and Lottie May (Salzer) Lewis.

On November 20, 1943 in La Porte, she married Richard Lambert Finstick who preceded her in death on September 26, 2001.  Surviving are her daughter, Sue (Dale Smith) Finstick of Duluth, MN; sister, Shirley Cowham of New Carlisle; daughter-in-law, Donna Valori of Golden, CO; niece, Debra (Harry) Winslow; nephews, Alan Cowham of South Bend, Dan Cowham of New Carlisle; 5 great-nieces and nephews; 10 great-great nieces and nephews and special friends of the family, Glen and Judy Brown Richardson of La Porte.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Finstick; and son, Eric Finstick.

Dorothy was a member of the Coolsping Township Project Club, and United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and walking.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 PM (CST) on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Interment will take place following the service at Patton Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service on Thursday at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
