Dorothy Jane Francis, 87 years old of La Porte, IN, died Monday, December 20, 2010 in LaPorte Hospital .
She was born August 20, 1923 in LaPorte, Indiana , Daughter of the late Jay and Edith (Wrase) Chadderdon.
She was married on July 14, 1945 in LaPorte to Mirwood "Moose" Frances who preceded her in death on November 15, 2000.
She was a former member of the Salvation Army Home League where she served as Treasurer and Secretary.
She worked as a Cook for The Western Inn in LaPorte for 10 years.
Surviving are her daughters: Cynthia Cavider of LaPorte, and Marlene Neubeck of LaPorte, sons: David Francis of Sebring, FL., and Dennis Francis of Kingsford Heights, IN; 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her brothers and sisters, husband: Mirwood W. "Moose" Francis; daughter, Carol Francis; two sons, DeWayne "Moose" Francis and Robert Francis; step daughter, Roberta Edwards.
Friends will be received 5-7 PM Wednesday, December 22. 2010 at the Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, IN.
A Graveside Services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Pine Lake Cemetery.
