Dorothy I. Hill, age 99, of La Porte, IN passed away on June 29, 2012 at IU Health La Porte Hospital. She was born on July 8th 1912 to Frank & Inze (Good) Sult in Egeland, ND.
Dorothy retired from Bryant Industries in 1978 after over three decades of service. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and had attended First Baptist Church for over 46 years.
She is survived by three children, Janice (Scheryl "Skip") Shipe of Mason, OH, Thomas (Edith "Edy") Hill of Lawton, OK, and Dennis (Laura) Hill of La Porte, IN; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; one brother Elmer Sult of Cape Canaveral, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, a stillborn grandson Rusty; and three sisters Mae Langman, Pearl McCarty, and Ruth Amor.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday July 7, 2012 at Faith Baptist church in La Porte at 12:30 PM with Eddie Heavner and Dr. Jack Cox officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to Faith Baptist Church.
