Douglas Lee Adams

Douglas Lee Adams, 60, of Union Mills, IN, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

Douglas was born on April 13, 1964, in La Porte, IN, to Joe L. Adams and Judy Ann Helt.

Surviving Douglas are his two daughters, Danielle Adams of Westville and Katelyn Adams of St. Louis, MO; father, Joe (Sheila) Adams of Rolling Prairie; and step-brother, Ray (Ellen) Borkowski of Rolling Prairie.

He was preceded in death by his mother and uncle, Charles Allen Adams.

A 1982 La Porte High School graduate, Douglas enjoyed his work as a Union Plasterer. He previously worked at Bernacchi Greenhouse and kept his own garden for many years.

Douglas was a die-hard Cubs and Bears fan. He also greatly enjoyed college football and NASCAR racing. Enjoying the outdoors, Douglas enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, water skiing, and snow skiing. He also enjoyed grilling, making wine, and attending rock concerts.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Cremation will take place following the Celebration of Life Gathering. A Private Family Graveside Service at Pine Lake Cemetery will be held at a later date.
