Dr. Robert C. Meyer

Dr. Robert C. Meyer D.D.S., 86, of New Buffalo, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Golden Living Center La Porte.

Robert was born in Chicago, IL, on October 1, 1931 to Charles and Isabell (Schaefer) Meyer.

On March 25, 1951 in Niles, MI, he married Marion Reinhart who survives in La Porte.  Also surviving are his beloved daughters, Heidi (Chris) Wilheim of FL and Wendy (Dave) Prym of Wheaton, IL; 2 grandchildren, Brigitte (Lucus) Lyons of NC and Derek (Lauren) Jones of TX; and 2 great-grandchildren, Aidan and Miranda.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol.

An Army veteran of the Korean War, Robert worked as a dentist in Flossmoor, IL for many years.  He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, playing Scrabble (most often losing matches to his wife of 67 years), and was an avid Cubs fan.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
