Dwight "Joe" Dyer, age 48 went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 26, 2011 following a courageous battle with diabetes.

He was born on June 8, 1963 in LaPorte, IN to Dwight and Sue (Wright) Dyer. He attended and graduated from New Prairie High School in 1982.

Joe was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. He loved to sing with the congregation and his favorite song was O' What a Savior. He also enjoyed playing baseball, darts, skating, and being with his family and friends.

Joe is survived by his loving parents, Dwight and Sue Dyer of LaPorte, and a sister, Carla Yung and brother-in-law Jon Yung of Hamlet, IN. He is further survived by a niece, Ariel Yung; nephew, James Mangold, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Terry Lee.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Cutler Funeral Home.

There will be a time of visitation on Sunday, August 28, 2011 from 4-8 PM and Monday from 9-11 AM at Cutler Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
