Eben Matthew Stephen Ohime, 1, LaPorte, died of natural causes Tuesday evening (June 15, 2004) at Riley Children's Hospital, Indianapolis.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Fountain City Wesleyan Church, Fountain City, Ind., with the Rev. Joel Heron officiating. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Countryside Christian Church in Michigan City, with the Rev. Rick Jones officiating. There is no visitation.
He was born Jan. 4, 2003, in LaPorte to Matthew and Kendra (Erk) Ohime, who survive.
Survivors also include his maternal grandmother, Cynthia Erk, Modoc, Ind.; paternal grandparents, Michael and Debbie Ohime, LaPorte; great-grandparents, Rose Holt and Hilda Ohime, both of LaPorte, Pat Cain, Modoc, and Clarence and Eloise Erk, Richmond, Ind.
Preceding Eben in death were his maternal grandfather, Stephen Erk; and three great-grandfathers, William Ohime, Richard Cain and Ernest Dhoore.
Memorial contributions will be used by the parents for their mission trip to Romania. Contributions may be sent in care of Mike Ohime, 142 Longwood Drive, LaPorte, IN 46350.
