Edward "Ed" Milton Berg, 80, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 18, 2016.
Edward was born August 8, 1936 in Chicago, IL, to Milton and Helen (Lundberg) Berg.
On December 7, 1988, he married Theresa "Terry" J. Nelson who survives. Also surviving are his beloved children, Nora Berg-Mora of La Porte, Shirley (Gary) Dusek of Grayslake, IL, Corina Rodriguez of Chicago, IL, and Madeline Berg of La Porte; 6 grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Rumsey of Elmhurst, IL and Rose (Ron) Doernbach of Georgetown, TX; and loving lab, Sadie Mae. Ed was an uncle, great uncle to many as well as a great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ed was a retired bindery foreman for a printing manufacturer. He enjoyed tending his yard, sailing, shooting pool and drinking tequila. His number one love was to work. He worked two jobs for most of his life, but found time to be with his family and friends.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A time of visitation and sharing will be held from 10 am - 2 pm on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
