Edward Francis Gallagher, 57, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Franciscan Communities in Michigan City.
Edward was born in La Porte, IN, on December 26, 1958 to Francis Edward and Ella Mae (Williams) Gallagher.
Edward is survived by the love of his life, his beloved daughter, Chelsea Gallagher of Fairhaven, MA; sisters, Carolyn Kopkowski of La Porte and Karen (Bernard) Oudhuis of New Carlisle; and his special friend and caregiver, Teddy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Edward served honorably in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, traveling in the Tennessee mountains, playing horseshoes, and being outdoors. A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A Graveside Service with full military honors will be held at a later time.
