Edward Youngblood, Sr., 84, of Mill Creek, Indiana, died at 11:30 p.m. on Monday July 25, 2005 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Devenport officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek.
Edward was born January 27, 1921, in Stillwell, Indiana to Henry & Martha (Dykstra) Youngblood. He married Lois Stephani, who survives.
Survivors also include daughter Marion (Darral) Hunt of North Ft. Meyers, FL; sons Edward Youngblood, Jr. of Mill Creek, and Robert Youngblood of Rolling Prairie, IN; grandchildren David, Daniel, Stephanie, Ashley, and Christopher Youngblood, Rebecca Herrold, Dianne Buckingham, Andrea Buttermore, Jeremy & Benjamin Stephens, Jeffrey & Kenneth Hunt, Gwendolen Womack, Christi Rozema and Amanda Grundtner; 25 great-grandchildren; great-great-grandson Ashton Youngblood; and brother Raymond Youngblood of Orlando, FL.
A son, Jerry Youngblood, and 2 brothers, Pete and Henry Youngblood Jr. preceded him in death.
Edward was a dairy farmer for 50 years. He was one of the founders of the LaPorte County 4-H Draft Horse Wagon Masters, which he was a part of for 40 years and he was a 4-H leader for 30 years. He was a graduate of Stillwell High School and a former member of the Stillwell Lions Club. He loved his grandchildren, farming and his horses.
