Elizabeth Clare Brown, 95, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 11:50 P.M. at The Arbors Healthcare, Michigan City, Indiana. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 P.M. Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at the Cutler Funeral Home, 2900 Monroe Street, LaPorte, Indiana. Burial will take place at Door Village Cemetery, Door Village, Indiana. Rev. Evan Lash will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at noon.
Elizabeth was born August 22, 1911 in Bainbridge, Indiana to Melvin T. and Lennie Wampler Parks. On October 25, 1930 in LaPorte,She married Robert P. Brown, who preceded her in death on November 8, 1995.
Survived by two daughters, Barbara Jonas of LaPorte, Indiana and Betty Holm of Salem, Oregon. Four grandchildren, Ron Jonas, Mike Jonas, Tim Holm and Beth Ann Nieth. Eight great grandchildren and four great-great granddaughters. One brother, Fred Parks of LaPorte, Indiana and one sister, Lucille Hartsock of Godfrey, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and two Sisters. Elizabeth was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church,LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial Donations may be made to the charity of the Donor’s Choice.
