Ernest Nemeth, 89, of Fish Lake, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
Ernest was born in South Bend, IN, on September 2, 1928 to Vincent J. and Elizabeth (Sigeiti) Nemeth.
On April 9, 1952 in La Porte, IN, he married Cora "Toni" (Collings) Nemeth who survives in Fish Lake. Also surviving are his beloved son, Ernest (Evelyn) Nemeth of Marcellus, MI; daughters, Linda (Don) Renfro of Rolling Prairie and Debbie Colston of La Porte; grandson, Andrew Nemeth of La Porte; and several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph Nemeth.
Ernest was a 1946 graduated of Washington High School in South Bend. He served honorably in the US Army Armour Division with the 101st Airborne. Ernest was a member of the La Porte Moose Lodge #492, PNA #1120 La Porte, and La Porte Senior Bowling League.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A private graveside service will be held at Walkerton Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
