She was born in Michigan City on Oct 29, 1917 of Henry and Clara (Krueger) Lambka.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are her daughter LoAnn (Robert) Post of LaPorte, her son Douglas Garwood of LaPorte. 4 Grandchildren, Jodie (Barrett) Taylor, Robert (Jacqueline) Post, Jim (Lydia) Post and Wendy (Scott) Armstrong, 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald M. Garwood, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
A private family service was held. Arrangements were handled by the Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte In.
