Eunice Evon Czapansky

Eunice Evon Czapansky, 88, of La Porte, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle, IN.

Eunice was born on March 6, 1930 to Roy and Marie (Bowers) Hoagland.

In 1954 in South Bend, IN, she married Marvin Owens Czapansky who preceded her in death.  Also surviving are her beloved daughter, Wendy (Robert) Mrozinski of La Porte, IN; grandsons, Garry Owens Nichols of La Porte and Phillip James Nichols of Michigan City; brother, J.R. Hoagland of Silver Lake, IN; sister, Addie Swanson of Atwood, IN; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Misty.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 6 brothers.

Eunice loved her grandsons. They were the light of her life. She was all about family and friends and anyone who needed help. She was an avid cook and baker and loved her cook books. She especially loved the holidays. Her family, her beloved husband Marvin, and all of her friends were the loves of her life. We have all lost a mother, grandmother, and a very special  light in our lives.  Anyone who knew her is a better person today. She had an ability to lighten up people with her fun and loving nature. We will miss her and her bright personality until we meet again.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
