Eva M. Lilly, 83, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at her home.
Eva was born in Walkerton, IN, on September 25, 1933 to Louis E. and B. Mildred (Helterbrand) Everly.
On March 8, 1958, she married Irving A. Lilly who preceded her in death. Surviving are her beloved children, Lewis Frederick (Cheryl) Lilly of La Porte, Lorraine McCormick of Palmetto, FL, Christine (Robert) Naue of Bradenton, FL, Laura (Timothy) Kobat of La Porte, Arthur (Melissa) Lilly of La Porte; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great, great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Heath of Walkerton; and brother, Eugene (Alice) Everly of South Bend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Irving A, Lilly; brothers, LaVern Everly, Lewis Everly; sister, Mary Ann Hicks; grandsons, Chad McCormick, Robert Michael Naue; and great-granddaughter, Samayah Faith Kobat.
Eva worked in many different lines of work including retail, school bus, limo, and truck driver, she worked in a factory, as a security guard and she worked in a mail room. Eva was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star- La Porte Chapter #280, she also belonged to the Hollamander Square Dance Club in New Mexico, and she crocheted 896 prayer shawls for the NewDay Foundation cancer patients.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM (CST) on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Dan McDonald officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Patton Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM (CST) until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
