Evelyn Lorene Bair, of LaPorte passed away at her home on Tuesday March 12, 2013 at the age of 81. She was born on May 10, 1931 the daughter of Robert & Ruth (Compton) Reed. On April 1, 1950 she married Jess Lee Bair; he preceded her in death on February 18, 2007.
She is survived by three children, Jesse (Vicki) Bair, John (Terry) Bair, Ruth (Chuck) Campbell all of LaPorte; daughter-in-law, Melody Bair of LaPorte; five siblings, Rooney Rozen of Lexington, KY; Robert L. Reed, Danny (Gladys) Reed, Mike (Linda) Reed, & Mark (Sheila) Reed all of McKinney, KY; four grandchildren; Carrie, Jake, Amanda, and Katie; two great-grandsons; Alex and Conner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four grandsons; Matt, Joshua, Jeremy, and Jess Lee; siblings; Ben and Betty.
Evelyn was a dedicated homemaker and was known for her incredible cooking abilities. She enjoyed volleyball, reading & loved to spend time with her family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday March 15, 2013 at Cutler Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Dan McDonald officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday with burial to follow at Kingsbury Cemetery in Kingsbury, IN.
