Evelyn Kistler, 76 years old of Rolling Prairie, IN, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in LaPorte Hospital.
She was born February 23, 1933 in Chicago, IL., daughter of the late John & Mary (Bytnar) Malatinka.
She was married on July 29, 1950 in Hammond, IN. to Norman Gene Kistler who survives.
Also surviving are her daughters, Diane (Ed) Wainscott of LaPorte, IN., Darlene (Brett) Quigley of Paw Paw, MI., grandchildren, Jennifer Wolszczak, Elaine (Daniel) Stecklein, Andrew (Erin) Wainscott, Jeffrey Erickson, great grandchildren, Katelyn & Ryan Wolszczak, Claire & Samuel Stecklein, Dylan, Addison and Ashlynn Wainscott.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ernest Malatinka.
Evelyn enjoyed reading and was a member of the Rolling Prairie Readers Group and numerous bridge groups. She also enjoyed cooking, being with friends, going to the movies and shopping. She worked as an Executive Secretary at various companies.
There will be a time of visitation on Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 2-5 P.M. at Cutler Funeral Home.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 16, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in LaPorte, IN. with Rev. David Kime officiating.
Burial of cremains will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
