Faye R. (Grassmyer) Steigely

Faye R. "Ruthie" Steigely, 84, of La Porte, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at her home.

Faye was born in Roswell, SD, on February 15, 1934 to Ray A. and Ruth C. (Kewley) Grassmyer.

On December 30, 1950, she married Robert Steigely who preceded her in death.  Surviving are her beloved children, Vicki (Gary) Travis of La Porte, Guy Steigely of Chicago, IL, Laurie (Jeff) Parsons of La Porte, Julie (David) Kampf of La Porte, Joyce (Arthur) Christenson of La Porte, and Russell Steigely of Mundelein, IL; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna (Richard) Wineland of Golden, CO; and brother, Dale Grassmyer of Tulsa, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; son, Mark Steigely; and brother, Richard Grassmyer.

Faye was an avid reader, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.  She was a past member of Women of the Moose.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.  A Private Family Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held.
