Florence Vernell Adams

Florence Vernell Adams, 89, of Demotte, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2018 at her home.

Florence was born on March 17, 1929 in Swifton, AR, to Cecil and Julie (Hennessee) Hoggard.

On June 29, 1946 in Manila, AR, she married William Arnold Adams who preceded her in death on June 21, 1997.  Also surviving are her beloved daughter, Carolyn (Robert) Bristol of Demotte; 4 grandchildren, David Bristol of Valparaiso, Gavin (Melanie) Bristol of DeMotte, Andy (Jen) Adams of Hebron, and April Dangerfield of Tomball, TX; 5 great-grandchildren, Zade, Tyler, Brooklyn, Jessica and Joshua; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; son, Richard A. Adams; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters.

Florence was a cook for Fountainview Nursing Home.  After retirement, she served in home health care.  She loved giving compassionate care and developing relationships with families.  Florence had a passion for gardening and a heart for cooking, baking and caring for others.  She especially enjoyed fellowship with her church family and loved family gatherings.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm (CT) on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Andre Rouszan officiating.  Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 12 - 2 pm (CT) on Thursday at the funeral home.
