Frances Janette Babcock, age 72, of La Porte, passed away on November 21, 2013 at her home. She was born in Alvin, IL, on February 8, 1941 to Frank Mason and Lura Mae (Huffman) Fetters. On January 13, 1962 she married James Babcock who survives. Also surviving are her beloved children, Debbie Babcock of Niles, MI, Cheryl (Wayne) McGee of Walkerton, IN; three grandchildren, Ashley Wolff of Michigan City, IN, and Tara McGee and Molly McGee both of Walkerton, IN; two sisters, Judy (Gerald) Finney of Brownsville, NY and Donna Baldwin of LaPorte. She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Joann Boyd and Bud Fetters. Frances was a dedicated homemaker and a very talented dog groomer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday November 26, 2013 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Friends and family will be received from 10AM until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. A cremation committal will take place with a private burial to follow at Morris Cemetery.
