Biography


Frances C. Corsbie, age 90, of La Porte, passed away on October 16, 2013 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.

She was born July 22, 1923 in La Porte, IN, daughter of Gilbert and Maude (Hanna) Goodson.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was involved in both Circle 6 and Senior Groups.

Frances worked in Cosmetic Sales with Avon for 50 years. Over the years, she had also worked at Austenal, Plimpton Press, McLellans Dime Store, and Spiegel's Catalog.

Surviving are her daughter, Pauletta (Roger) Schuster of La Porte; sons, Richard (Joy) Corsbie of Jacksonville, FL, and Ronald Corsbie of Fairborn, OH; five grandsons, Brian (Holly) Schuster, Matthew (Nicole) Schuster, Tim (Marilyn) Corsbie, Don Corsbie, Jake (Kristin) Corsbie; granddaughter, Amy (John) Scott; and eight great-grandchildren, Belle, Noah, Emily, and Adam Schuster, Kade, Amara, Haley, and Taylor Corsbie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Corsbie, Sr.; her parents; son, Robert Corsbie, Jr.; sister, Betty Day, and brothers, Howard Goodson, and Leo Losey.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Ronald Brauer officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 3-7 PM on Friday, October 18, 2013 and also from 10 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Interment will follow in the Pine Lake Cemetery.
