Frank E. Burnett, 88, of New Carlisle, Indiana, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2008 at 4:03 P.M. in Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Galloway. There will be a time of visitation with the family on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008 from 3-8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 9-10 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Michigan City. There will be a Full Military Service at the Cemetery
Frank was born April 22, 1920 in Michigan City to the late Corby and Florence (Teets) Burnett.
He was married on June 23, 1943 in Port Allen, LA. to Lillian A. Picard who preceded him in death on Nov. 9, 2002
Survivors include 1 Dtr: Roberta (Charles) Baxley-La Porte, 3 Sons: Owen (Lynn) Freeman-Marlow, OK., Frank (Osa) Burnett,Jr.-Michigan City, & Lonnie (Gail) Burnett-New Carlisle, IN. 18 Grandchildren & 47 Gt. Grandchildren & 2 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren. Sister; Lois-Mishawaka & Bro: Robert (Beverly)-Michigan City
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bro: & 2 Sis: Kenneth, Maxine, & Tressie.
He was a retired truck driver, Technical Sergeant Army Air Force Veteran of WW II, American Legion Post #297 of New Carlisle, loved Fishing, gardening, NASCAR, Chicago Bears & Cubs.
