Franklin Archambeault

April 5, 1920 — November 5, 2007

Franklin Retired from the Michigan City Fire Department with 26 years of service from January 24, 1946 – February 8, 1972. He was a past Captain, Pump Operator, and Assistant Chief. He was also a past Boy Scout Leader and a member of the Post #2536 . Franklin enjoyed woodworking.
He was a Veteran Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII serving from 1942 – 1945. He was in the 645th Tank Battalion, tank destroyer. He was in Campains on Anzio Beachhead in Italy, Germany, Southern France, Central Europe & Northern Africa. He received many medals of honor including the Purple Heart, 5 Bronze Stars, Oak Leaf Cluster, and the EAME Theatre Ribbon.
There will be a Private Family Service at Cutler Funeral Home and Burial will be in the Lambs Chapel Cemetery.
