Freda K. Ellaby, 96, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2005, at Fountainview Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, at the Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Floyd Wilcox officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Las Vegas, NV.
Freda was born September 8, 1908 in Louisville, Kentucky to William J. & Ida (Krim) Westerman. She married John C. Ellaby, who preceded her in death on December 8, 1976.
Surviving are daughters Patricia (Gene) Parrett of LaPorte, Judy (Tony) Koester of Newton, NJ, Jacqueline Benz of Santa Barbara, CA and Jean (Tom) Erickson of Simi Valley, CA; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
A brother, William Westerman Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Galdun, preceded her in death.
Freda had retired as a property manager in Las Vegas, NV. She had also attended Galena Baptist Church.
