Gail C. Kirk, age 92, of La Porte, IN passed away on Sunday September 2, 2012 at La Porte Hospital. She was born on June 12, 1920 the daughter of the late Carl & Harriet (Guy) Doolittle in Tecumseh, MI. On May 21, 1949 she married Earl Kirk, he preceded her in death on November 6, 1995.
She is survived by two children, Bruce (Marilyn) Kirk of Lafayette, IN & Sandra Kirk of Warsaw, IN; four grandchildren, Emily Kirk, Stephanie (Kevin) Kaiser, Matthew (Elizabeth) Kirk, and Samuel (Autumn) all of La Porte, IN; six great-grandchilren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 3 siblings, Guy Doolittle and Mac Doolittle, and Mary Gillmore.
She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in La Porte, Scipio Township, Farm Bureau, and the Audubon Society. She was also a former member Whirling Promenade & Al’s Round Table Dance Club.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday September 6, 2012 at 12 noon at Cutler Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Evan Lash officiating. Burial will follow at Door Village Cemetery in La Porte, IN.
Family and friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 noon prior to the service.
