Gary A. Barnes

Gary A. Barnes, 56, of South Bend, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.

Gary was born on April 12, 1965 in La Porte, IN, to Dale L. and Joyce (Kebr) Barnes.

Surviving Gary are his father, Dale L. Barnes; siblings, Bonnie (Donald) Stoner of Rolling Prairie, Darlene Barnes of Rolling Prairie, and Edward (Cindy) Barnes of Mill Creek; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Barnes; sister, Connie Cummings; and great nephew, Levi Stoner.

For many years, Gary was a resident of Sharing Meadows of the Share Foundation. Three years ago, he move to retire at an ADEC home in South Bend.

In his youth, Gary participated in Special Olympics.  He was the hardest working person in his family.  Gary had many friends over the years, but recently his best friend was Tracy (Puppy) Rousculp.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Nate Edquist officiating.  Burial will follow at Foster Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be from 3 - 7 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 8 - 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the funeral home.  Procession to Sacred Heart Catholic Church will follow Saturday's visitation.
