Biography

George J. Games, 82 years old of La Porte, died December 14, 2010 in LaPorte Hospital .
He was born August 2, 1928 in La Porte County, son of the late Charles F. Games and Leora (Earl) Games.
George graduated from La Porte High School in 1946 and attended Purdue North Central. He married Delores A. Crutchfield on September 2, 1950 at the 1st Baptist Church, Michigan City, IN. Together they shared a loving marriage of 60+ years.
He was a two time Past Govenor of Moose Lodge 980, Michigan City; active in Boy Scouts, Troop 120, La Porte; Treasurer Maple City Cadets Drum and Bugle Corp, American Legion Post 83. He was also a member of HealthPorte at La Porte Hospital.
He worked for Plimpton Press, La Porte; U.S. Slicing Machine (Berkle), La Porte; Brown Trailer/Clark Equipment, Michigan City; and retired from Clark (Michigan Equipment), Benton Harbor. He later worked for Master Roll (KOP), Kingsbury, IN.
Surviving are his wife, Delores; 2 sons: Richard L., La Porte and George C. (Kathy), Portage, IN; daughter: LeAnn (Richard) Craig, Carmel, IN; 8 grandchildren: Lindsay (Matt), Courtney (Dennis), Ryan, Bradley, Tyler (Rachel), Alexa, Christopher, Josleyn (Tim), 2 great-grandchildren: Peytonn and Bennett; and brothers: Robert and Elmer Games.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Kenneth and Donald and a sister: Charlene.
Friends will be received Friday December 17 from 3-7pm and from 10am Saturday to the time of the service at the at the Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, IN.
Services will be held at 11am on Saturday December 18, at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Laue officiating.
Interment will be Monday 10:30 am in the Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, in Michigan City for family and friends.
