George Frank Mueller, Jr., age 64, of La Porte, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Franciscan Communities Hospice in Michigan City.
George was born on June 18, 1952 in South Bend to George Frank and Dorothy Jean (Christianson) Mueller, Sr.
On September 21, 1974 in La Porte, he married Loretta Fischer who survives. Also surviving are his beloved children, Matthew (Shana) Mueller of La Porte, Brett (Kayla) Mueller of La Porte, and Chett Mueller of Knox; sister, Marie (Steven) Emerson of Knox, mother-in-law, Verna Fischer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents, George and Dorothy Mueller and his grandmother, Clara Baker.
George worked for 29 years as a computer operator at Bethlehem Steel then as a security guard for US Security Associates.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 111 Kingsbury Avenue, La Porte, IN. Rev. Ronald Brauer will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 4 - 7 pm on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 9:30 am until the time of service on Friday at the church.
