George Palen, age 64, of LaPorte, passed away on March 18, 2013 at his home.
He was born in Indiana on May 3, 1948 to George and Mary K. (Pointon) Palen.
Surviving are his daughter, Brenda (Jose Martinez) Palen of La Porte; son, Brian (Tonya Schoff) Palen of Morristown, TN & his companion of 20 years, Toni Miller of LaPorte; four grandchildren, Jose, Brittany, Ashley, & Allan; & 6 step-grandchildren; & 2 sisters, Dixie Roberts of Bridgman, MI & Melody Ritter of Little Rock, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, & 1 brother.
George was a self employed construction worker for many years & was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Bridgman, MI. He loved to watch ball games & westerns, play pool & listen Conway Twitty.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the First Apostolic Church, 10916 California Road, Bridgman, MI 49106 with Pastor David Coban, Sr. officiating.
