George Fredrick Senne, 79, of La Porte, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at IU Health of La Porte.
George was born in Mishawaka, IN, on November 1, 1937 to Willard George and Katherine Lillian (Schoch) Senne.
On June 20, 1964 in La Porte, IN, he married Jenice Prestin who survives. Also surviving are his beloved children, Gerry (Anita) Senne of Westville, Julia (Rick) Kellogg of AL and Steven (Connie) Senne of Union Mills; grandchildren, Allen (Liz) Senne of La Porte, Aaron Senne, Kaitlyn Kellogg, CJ Kellogg, Jaxon Senne, Anthony Senne and Clay Senne; great-grandchildren, Baylee and Zoiee Senne, Mia Kellogg; siblings, Shirley Lamb of La Porte, Marilyn Gierke of Rolling Prairie, Marsha Gourley of Rolling Prairie, and Carl (Karen) Senne of SC. Also surviving are Chris Walker, Eric and Mike Senne; as well as other loving family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Senne.
George was a carpenter for over 25 years. After that, he was a supervisor of the seafood department at Bernacchi Farms. George was a former Governor and member of over 50 years of Moose Lodge Post 492. He also enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid motorcycle rider.
A Moose Lodge Service will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 3:00 pm (CST) at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2900 Monroe Street, La Porte, IN 46350. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 pm (CST) until the time of the service at the funeral home.
