George M. "Mick" Stefano

George M. "Mick" Stefano, 70, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.

George was born in La Porte, IN, on November 20, 1947 to George and Florence (Eggert) Stefano.

On February 20, 1993 in La Porte, he married Barbara Williamson who survives in La Porte.  Also surviving are his beloved children, Joseph (Karen) Stefano of Rolling Prairie, Ann Forrester of La Porte; 2 stepchildren, Lori (Darin) Loucks of Elkhart and Brian Ritter of Florida; 3 grandchildren; 3 stepgrandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 1 stepgreat-grandchild; and brother, Wayne (Lori) Stefano of Fish Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jo Ann O'Banion.

George was a US Army Veteran and a supervisor for over 30 years at Milburn Peat Moss. He loved cars especially restoring his Olds 442.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM (CT) on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Pine Lake Cemetery with Pastor Bob Vail officiating.  Arrangements are being handled with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
