Gerlinde I. Sorg

Gerlinde I. Sorg, 89, of La Porte, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Center for Hospice & Palliative Care.

Gerlinde was born on March 3, 1929 in Stuttgart, Germany.

On February 26, 1948 in Waiblinger, Germany, she married Artur Sorg, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2014.  Surviving are her beloved children, Wolfgang (Sandy) Sorg of Mill Creek, Gisela (James) Eggleston of Saugany Lake, Susie (Gary) Lawson of Mill Creek, Gabriele Phillips of La Porte, and Artur Sorg, Jr. of Mill Creek; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Artur Sorg, Sr.; and 2 brothers.

Gerlinde was a retired seamstress. She enjoyed bowling, going on their pontoon, knitting, and family gatherings.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12 PM (CT) Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.  A time of visitation will take place from 10 AM (CT) until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
