Gertrude E. "Sal" Laramore, 92, of New Carlisle, Indiana, died at 9:20 EST on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Miller's Merry Manor in New Carlisle.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in LaPorte, with Rev. Ted Nordquist officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday at Cutler Funeral Home from 9:00-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Sal was born September 15, 1912, in LaPorte, Indiana to Gustave and Elsie Kermin. On May 29, 1937, she married John K. Laramore, who preceded her in death in 1975.
Survivors include daughter Linda A. (Hank) Pictor of Batesville, IN; John C. (Sue) Laramore of LaPorte; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and 3 sisters preceded her in death.
Sal was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a volunteer at LaPorte Hospital.
