Glenn "Glenny" Alan Bowell, 64, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 5:12 AM at his home with his loving and devoted wife by his side.

Glenn was born in La Porte, IN, on November 28, 1950 to Bowen Carr and Madeline (Cory) Bowell.

He was a lifelong resident of La Porte. He graduated from La Porte High School in 1968. Shortly after high school he became an apprentice in cement masonry. He became a cement mason with Local 438 where he worked for over forty years.

Glenn was born into a loving, hard working family. He is survived by his sister, Alice (Tom) Terry of Cleveland, TN; brother, Gerald (Lucy) Bowell of Lawrenceburg, IN; sister, Myra Thompson of Los Angeles, CA. Glenn has two surviving children from his first marriage to Jeannine Dunk; Janalee (Shawn) Brown of Union Mills, IN, and their children; Samuel, Luke, Anna, Jael, and Susanna. Glenn's son, Ryan (Sharmion) Bowell of Warsaw, IN and their children; Cameron, Austin, Madeline, and Aidan.

On September 5, 2014 Glenn married Laura Jane Eisner who survives. Their family includes daughter, Jordan (Matt) Kirkland; and children, Nathyn and Arianna; daughter Macy, and son, Hunter.
In his last years of life Glenn and Laura enjoyed spending time together at Pine Lake, playing cards together, and watching old westerns. His wife Laura finds comfort in the thought that everybody who knew Glenny B loved him.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A time of visitation will be held from 2PM until the time of the service on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
