Glenn O. Jackson, 94, Mishawaka, formerly of LaPorte, died at 11:50 p.m. Friday (Aug. 29, 2003) at Fountainview Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mishawaka.
An Eagles memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cutler Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson was born Nov. 16, 1908, in Wanatah, to Forest L. and Sarah E. (Oglsby) Jackson. On March 28, 1937, in Knox, he married Helen Mae Miller, who survives.
Survivors also include a daughter, Carolyn R. Jackson, Mishawaka; two granddaughters, Shereen Allison, Clayton, N.C. and Kathy Giloth, South Bend; and two great-grandchildren, Danielle and David Giloth.
Mr. Jackson was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 33 years.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #2439 and is a past president, Zone 1 Membership. He was director for the Eagles Lodge, was the 1st Eagle inducted into the Indiana state Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall of Fame and belonged to Masonic Lodge #41 F. & A.M. for more than 40 years. He was a past conservation officer and was active in conservation all his life.
