G. T. Howard, 66 years old of La Porte, IN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 4, 2010 in La Porte Hospital.
He was born May 29, 1943 in Jackson, Kentucky, Son of the late George and May (Dysart) Howard .
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carolyn Thomas who he married on December 12, 1964 in Indianapolis, IN.
Also surviving are daughter; Lori (Ed) Sopko, son; Joe Howard, grandchildren; Lindsey & Megan Hawk, Garett & Jordan Howard, brothers; Jim (Vicki) Howard, Ed (Carol) Howard, Pete (Joan) Howard, sisters; Rebecca Howard, Lisa (Ernie) Melton, brother-in-law; Manual Spencer, step mother; Pearl Howard and several nieces and nephews.
G.T. loved hunting, going to gun shows, being with his friends, his grandkids and family. He was a friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Bobby, Laura Spencer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from
3-7 P.M. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday at 7 PM following the visitation at Cutler Funeral Home.
Burial will be held at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Springville Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
